And wow what a wonderful and sunshine filled cover it is. I love the colours on the cover and I think this looks and sounds like the perfect summer read. I cannot wait to get started reading it.

About the Author

Samantha Tonge lives in Manchester UK with her husband and children. She studied German and French at university and has worked abroad, including a stint at Disneyland Paris. She has travelled widely.

When not writing she passes her days cycling, baking and drinking coffee. Samantha has sold many dozens of short stories to women's magazines.

She is represented by the Darley Anderson literary agency. In 2013, she landed a publishing deal for romantic comedy fiction with HQDigital at HarperCollins. In 2015 her summer novel, Game of Scones, hit #5 in the UK Kindle chart and won the Love Stories Awards Best Romantic Ebook category. A Year in the Chateau by Sarah Long

My Review

Nicola and her husband, Dominic, are now both retired and looking forward to the next chapter in their lives. The two of them decide that they want to do something big with their time instead of just living quietly. Their plan is to buy a huge country house and live with their closest friends. The pair hatch a plan to get all of their closest friends in on their idea so they can pool their resources and buy the biggest property they can afford. 
With their seven closest friends all agreeing to the plan they all set out to buy a house. They are all disappointed with the first few houses they see and nothing they find seems to be a good enough match for them all. 
It is then that the group of them look further afield and find a run down Chateau near to Normandy in France. 
The group are so excited to put their plan into action and once they make their decision it doesn't take them long to move into the Chateau and start making plans to renovate it. 
What follows in the book is what happens to the group in their first year living in the chateau.  
Will it be the idyllic dream they are all hoping for. With the year filled with fun and laughter but also tinged with sadness too it is safe to say they are all in for an adventure and maybe not the quiet life they expected from their retirement. 
This is a wonderful read that I enjoyed from beginning to end. The writing style is wonderful and has a way of really drawing you into the story. 
I really liked getting to know all of the friends as they all begin their new adventure in the Chateau. It is clear they are all different and all bring something different to the project. There is plenty going on between them all and a times there is conflict between them all as old insecurities rise to the surface along with old feelings too.
 There is also a small cast of French Characters they get to know too as part of their adventure and they really do add to the story and help the group to settle into their new way of life. 
This is a brilliant read full of fun, friendship and adventure and one you will not want to put down.

About the Author

Sarah Long was raised in Essex, educated at Oxford and worked in publishing before moving to Paris with her husband and young children. She now lives in London with the same husband and most of her adult children, at the midlife stage that inspired her new novel Invisible Women. 

She is the author of two previous novels, And What Do You Do? and The Next Best Thing, as well as Le Dossier of Hortense de Monplaisir or How to Survive the English, a helpful guide to understanding the ways of the British, as seen through the eyes of her snobbish Parisian alter ego. 

Although now back in the motherland, she has failed to leave France behind, and spends as much time as possible at her house in rural Normandy, making jam, digging things up and watching the wildlife which often ends up, uninvited, indoors.

My Review

Life for Cassie Beresford is good. She has a loving family, a doting husband and is about to start the job of her dreams working as a deputy head teacher at her local village primary school. 
But life for Cassie is about to change, while on a night out at a charity auction with their closest friends a secret is very publicly revealed that Cassie's husband has been having an affair with one of her best friend for the last two years. Cassie is devastated and heart broken. How could it do that to her after twenty years of marriage. 
All Cassie wants to do is to hide away from everything that is going on in her life and fix her heartbreak behind closed doors. This isn't possible as Cassie knows her two teenage children will still need her so she is still trying to be strong for them, especially with Cassie about to start her new job. 
further shock is in store for Cassie as she receives a surprising phone call to tell he that she will no longer be the deputy head of the primary school, the headteacher that was in place had unfortunately passed away and that Cassie would now be the acting head teacher. 
Cassie is shocked and suffering a lack of confidence. She feels that she is definitely not up to the job but is persuaded to take on the role while the school governors look for a replacement. Is this all too much for Cassie or is the role exactly what she needs. 
Cassie has certainly got her work cut out for her, with threat of more housing being built in the village, potential for a new school to be built meaning the village would lose all of its a appeal and the threat of a squirrel invasion things will not be easy for her.
 However Cassie has the support of her family, friends and teachers within the school who all want Cassie to succeed. After thinking that her life was over after her husbands affair maybe this his her chance to start her life all over again. Thinks it is safe to say that this year will be one that Cassie will never forget. 
This is a brilliant read that I loved from start to finish and could not put down. 
The writing style of this book is just a treat to read. It flows well and has a good mix of different emotions as you follow the story of Cassie. 
Cassie is such a wonderful character to read about as she has such a journey throughout the book and its one you can relate to. 
There is a cast of supporting characters within the book who all add something to the story and the life of Cassie. 
I adored reading this book and it is one you will not be disappointed you purchased.

The Cottage on Wildflower Lane by Liz Davies

My Review

This is a wonderful heart warming read that I was hooked on from the first page to the last and read in one sitting. 
Esther is working as a temp doing some admin jobs. She is happy with her life, she has a boyfriend she adores and they share a flat together. Esther is finding her current job rather slow and is just sat wishing that something exciting would happen just to perk up her day. What Esther wasn't expecting was a phone call that will shake up her whole world and leave her broken hearted. 
Her beloved boyfriend Josh, has decided to dump her and move to Spain to work in a bar his friend owns. He could not tell her to her face so gives her all this information while he is already at the airport. 
Esther head home with a broken heart and has her friends around her to try and lift her up. She looks online to see is she can find the Flamingo bar in Spain, this is where Josh is working and she sees that they have a live webcam showing what is going on in the bar. 
With her world feeling like is has been turned upside down Esther is drawn to watching the webcam every night to try and get a glimpse of Josh. Esther finds herself drinking too much to hide the pain and even goes on a few dates too which both only end up in disaster. 
It is while on a night out with her closest friend that she meets Dean, he is one of the partners in a company and after finding out that Esther is looking for a new job explains that he is looking for admin staff for his landscape company. Could this be the fresh new start that Esther is looking for?
While settling into her new job that she is really enjoying Esther finds herself drawn to the Flamingo Bar webcam less but she has stumbled upon another webcam which shows a beautiful cottage with a rather handsome occupant. 
With her new job, the handsome man in the webcam video, and starting to date the handsome Kit is Esther finally getting her life in order and will she be getting her happy ever after or is she going to get her heart broken again. 
This is a wonderful heartwarming and fun read that I loved from start to finish. 
The writing style of the book is light and really makes you want to keep turning the pages.
I found this characters in this book fascinating. Both Esther and Kit have both had hurt and heartbreak in their pasts and it does make it harder for them both to trust anyone else again. Kit is also keeping a secret from Esther that he is worried about sharing. 
I loved that the story was told from both the perspectives of Esther and Kit which made for fun reading. 
this is a book you will definitely not be disappointed you purchased. It is the perfect pick me up on a wet and grey day.

My Review

This is an absolutely brilliant read that I loved from start to finish and did not want to put down. 
Christie Newbury is excited to be starting a new adventure with her husband in the village of Treweham. They are going to be the new owners of the Templar, the village inn. This is a much needed new start for Christie and Sean as things have not been great with their relationship but this is supposed the fresh start they both need. That is until Sean drops a huge bombshell on Christie that breaks her heart and leaves her wondering how she will cope. 
Daniel James is an architect in the village of Treweham on the hunt for a new home for him and his daughter. He is desperate to find somewhere for him and his daughter to live so that he can provide a stable setting for her. His relationship with his ex wife is very rocky and she is still expecting him to keep her in the lifestyle she has become used to even if that means not being the best mum she can be to their daughter. 
Daniel meets Christie at the Templar. The two begin to chat and the pair realise that Daniel could help Christie with the ideas she has for giving the Templar a bit of a revamp. She suggests he helps her in exchange for somewhere to stay helping him out in return. The two often begin to spend more time together and there are sparks of romance between the two of them. But is it a good idea to mix business with pleasure or will they both end up getting hurt. 
This is a fantastic story that will truly absorb you from the first page to the last. 
I loved getting to know both Christie and Daniel. They have both been hurt in the past which you learn about as the story progresses and its great watching them get to know each other too. 
This is the the third book in the series from Treweham so there are other characters from within the other two books that appear in this book, it was great to revisit them but the main focus in the story is Christie and Daniel. 
although this is book three it can be read as a standalone read but I do highly recommend reading the other books too. 
I really enjoyed the writing style of Sasha Morgan. She has a way of keeping you guessing with some intrigue but also the book is filled with fun and romance too. 
I loved this book and I think it is one you will definitely enjoy.

My Review

This is a fantastic read that I thoroughly enjoyed and I easily found myself swept away with the story.
The year is 1937 and we find ourselves returning to the Buckingham hotel and its grand ballroom. 
This is a book that shows the lives and all that happens in them both upstairs, and downstairs within the hotel. 
Vivienne Edgerton is looking for an outlet to spend the money that her Step Father is making. She wants to find a way to make a difference rather than it being spent so frivolously. Her only concern is that this could make more trouble for her and cause more upset too. 
Nancy Nettleton works as a chambermaid at the Buckingham hotel. she is finally happy there and feels like her life is coming together. she is hoping that things will fall onto place for her beloved brother too as he has found himself in London too. The only problem that Nancy has is that she is missing Raymond de Guise. He is a dancer in the grand ballroom at the Buckingham hotel that Nancy loves. He is on his travels and is very much missed performing at the hotel.
London is changing, there is a new king on the throne, they are just coming out of the Great Depression and with rumours flying around with the threat of another war people are feeling the tension.
What will happen at the Buckingham Hotel, with its secrets it is keeping and with people listening how will the staff and guests deal with the next part of the chapter at the Buckingham?
This is a wonderful read that is full of intrigue and one that keep you absorbed from beginning to end. The Buckingham Hotel does sound very Glamorous especially with its grand ballroom. I loved all of the historic references within the book.
I enjoyed getting to know all of the characters within the book, of which there were quite a few so the character list at the beginning of the book was helpful to refer to.
The was the first book I have read in this series but I am already looking forward to reading the next part.
