Spring on Rendezvous Lane by Angela Britnell

Today I am reviewing this wonderful new spring release from Angela Britnell.
Thank you to Rachel's Random Resources for inviting me to review this book, and for my copy of the ebook in exchange for my honest unbiased review.

Book Description
Can even the most seasoned traveller find a home on Rendezvous Lane?
‘Community spirit’ is not a phrase in travel junkie Taran Rossi’s vocabulary. As a former ‘third culture kid’ and now spicy street food connoisseur and social media influencer, he’s never really stayed in one place long enough to feel part of a community. And that’s just the way he likes it.
But a springtime stint house sitting for his grandmother on Rendezvous Lane in East Nashville could lead to a long overdue wake-up call. With the help of single mum Sandy Warner and her young son Chip, can Taran come to understand that sometimes it’s not about the place – it’s about the people?

My Review
This was a wonderful and heartwarming read that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Taran Rossi finds himself staying on Rendezvous Lane house sitting for is grandmother who has been taken ill. Normally a world traveller, Taran is not the type to stay in one place for too long so is keen to keep himself to himself and not integrate with the community.
Single Mum, Sandy lives on Rendezvous Lane with her son Chip. Sandy does not always have an easy time but they both love living within the community there and are really supported by those around them.
When Sandy finds out that there is someone house sitting next door she is determined that they should get to know, and be involved in the community around them.
Sandy is shocked to find herself attracted to Taran when she first meets him. He can feel the attraction too but Sandy just wants to stay friends as she does not want to rely on anyone and she has to put her son Chip first.
The longer Taran is house sitting for his grandmother the more he begins to get involved within the community and also spend more time with Sandy and Chip. The two of them are getting closer and closer, but knowing how much Taran loves to travel, and how he won't be staying for long Sandy wants to keep him at arms length.
Taran finds himself drawn to Sandy and Chip and really begins to enjoy being on Rendezvous Lane so when disaster strikes and the community of Rendezvous Lane find them under attack from developers Taran and Sandy come up with a plan to keep the community together. Maybe Taran has finally found a place he can call home.
This is such a wonderful and heartwarming read that is simply a delight to  read. I loved getting to know all of the characters and residents of Rendezvous Lane.
Sandy was wonderful to get to know. It is obvious that being a single mum to Chip is challenging at times but she simply wants the best for him. Sandy does have some secrets from the past and these do come out as you read the story.
Taran has always loved travelling and after disaster in his past has found it has kept his mind away from what happened.
I really enjoy the writing style of Angela Britnell. I find the story flows well and is highly addictive leading to you not wanting to put the book down.
This is the perfect spring read.

Daisy's Dilemma by Debbie Viggiano

Today I am excited to share with you my review of this witty and romantic new release from Debbie Viggiano. Thank you to Rachel's Random Resources for inviting me to join the tour, and for my copy of the ebook in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Book Description
Florist Daisy is loved-up and blossoming.  Boyfriend Dominic has proposed marriage!

However, Dominic isn’t in any rush to buy a ring, and meeting the parents is looong overdue.  What is the problem?  After all, Daisy’s mum has already bought her big hat and wants to know the wedding date!

Then careless words plant seeds of doubt and, like weed, Daisy’s concerns begin to multiply.  Is Dominic hiding something?

Meanwhile, sexy ex Harry is back on the scene and begging Daisy for a reconciliation.  He thought the grass was greener with HER but now says he made a mistake.  Is Harry – for once – being genuine, or simply leading Daisy up the garden path?

New neighbour Seth seems like a fun guy, but a single throwaway comment has Daisy mimicking a species of Calla Lily – Red Alert!  It’s time to do some digging.  But even she never anticipated a mad car chase across London or unearthing a shocking secret that changes everything.

Sparks are set to fly in this gorgeous romantic comedy about love, trust, and new beginnings.

My Review
This was such a fun and witty read that I simply adored and could not put down.
Daisy owns and runs a successful floristry business and she loves her job. Her love life is looking up too after recently getting engaged to the handsome Dominic.
Having been badly hurt in the past Daisy is looking forward to Planning her wedding to Dominic and spending the rest of her life with him. Things are not going very smoothly though as there is no engagement ring yet, and her future mother in law is not wanting to meet her. Daisy is determined to push through all of this and move forward, but after over hearing Dominic on the phone some old feelings push themselves into her head giving Daisy doubts.
There is more shock in store for Daisy when her Ex, Harry reappears back on the scene telling Daisy he's made a big mistake.
This throws Daisy into confusion and makes her doubt making the right choice to split with Harry.
Things become further confusing for Daisy when a handsome stranger moves into the cottage next door and there is an obvious spark of attraction between the pair.
Daisy really is in a dilemma but with the help of her friends and an undercover chase across London Daisy uncovers some secrets. Maybe she will get her happy ever after ending she wanted.
Wow this is such a fun and witty read.  I found the story to be very engaging and it really draws you in from the very first page and keeps you there until the end.
I enjoyed getting to know Daisy and you really do get to know her as you read through the book. She has been hurt in the past and you do get a good understanding of why she is determined to get to the bottom of the secrets around her.
Some of the adventures Daisy has in this book are just hilarious and will read make you laugh out loud. There is also plenty of romance and this makes for a great balance in this book.
There is a wonderful cast of characters within the book who all play a part in the life of Daisy and really do add to the story.
This is a story full of laughter, friends and romance, and is one not to be missed.
Debbie Viggiano has done it again with another five star read.

Today is my stop on the Blog Tour for this latest instalment from Hedgehog Hollow by Jessica Redland. Thank you to Rachel's Random Resources for inviting me to join the tour, and for my copy of the ebook in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Book Description

Every family has its secrets, and at Hedgehog Hollow there is no exception...

It was always Samantha's dream to run her beautiful rescue centre, Hedgehog Hollow, full-time. But just as her wish comes true, she becomes a victim of her own kindness when she finds herself with a house full of guests - all with their own problems and secrets - looking to her for support.

When her self-absorbed cousin, Chloe, unexpectedly turns up at the farm - swiftly handing over her baby to Samantha to care for – trouble is definitely brewing. Especially as Chloe won’t tell anyone why she’s left her husband, James...

As Samantha juggles new hedgehog arrivals, family dramas and her own health challenges, it soon becomes clear that she needs to start putting herself first for once. Little does she know that life-changing secrets from the past are about to unravel and turn their lives upside down...

Return to glorious Hedgehog Hollow with top 10 bestseller Jessica Redland for a heartwarming, emotional but uplifting story of family, friendship and moving on from the past.

My Review
This is the third instalment in the Hedgehog Hollow series, and having love the previous two releases I could not wait to get started reading this one.
We find ourselves heading back to Hedgehog Hollow and this book immediately picks up from where we left every one in the previous book.
Life is busy as usual for Samantha at Hedgehog Hollow not only with the rescue centre but also at home as Josh's family have moved in for a while so that Sam and Josh can give them some help and support.
Sam loves the house being busy as it is what it was meant for.
Things become even more hectic when Chloe makes a surprise visit with her baby son and tells Sam that she has left her husband and needs a place to stay. Chloe is refusing to tell Sam why she left James but sam is determined to find out what is going on.
With a house full of people and family secrets being revealed things are never dull at Hedgehog Hollow.
I loved this addition to the series. It was wonderful to read this book from a dual perspective of Sam and Chloe. It was interesting to read more from Chloe's past. It also gave a you a few answers to things that came up in the first book. But I am not going to give you any spoilers.
It was good to see Sam realise that she needs to start looking after herself too.
The writing style of Jessica Redland is completely addictive and reading this series is like a breath of fresh air and will really put a smile on your face.
I loved revisiting all of the people who I have grown to love at Hedgehog Hollow and I cannot wait too read the next instalment.

A Taste of Home by Heidi Swain

Today is my stop on the Blog Tour for this heartwarming and uplifting new release from Heidi Swain. Thank you to the team at Simon and Schuster UK for inviting me to take part in the tour, and for my copy of the book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Book Description
Fliss Brown has grown up living with her mother on the Rossi family’s Italian fruit farm. But when her mother dies, Fliss finds out she has a family of her own, and heads back to England with Nonna Rossi’s recipe for cherry and almond tart and a piece of advice: connect with your family before it is too late…

Fliss discovers that her estranged grandfather owns a fruit farm himself, on the outskirts of Wynbridge, and she arrives to find a farm that has fallen into disrepair. Using her knowledge gleaned from working on the Rossi farm and her desire to find out more about her past, Fliss rolls her sleeves up and gets stuck in. But what will she discover, and can she resurrect the farm’s glory days and find a taste of home…?

My Review
In this book we meet Fliss Brown who has grown up living with her mother in Italy, on a fruit farm owned by the Rossi Family. Fliss loves her life in Italy but after her mother dies Fliss finds out that she has a family in Wnybridge in England, and makes a decision to go and visit to get to know a family of her own. Fliss packs her bags and armed with her Nonna's recipe for cherry and almond tart heads to her family in England.
Fliss arrives in Wynbridge and discovers that her estranged Grandfather also owns a fruit farm, although due to ill heath his farm has fallen into disrepair and is need of some love.
Fliss soon finds herself working on plans to help bring the farm back to its former glory using the skills she has learnt from the Rossi family business. The longer she stays in Wynbridge the more she learns of her mothers past growing up on the farm and the more she becomes attached to the farm. Could this be where Fliss belongs and will Wynbridge become her home.
This is such a wonderful and heartwarming story that I simply adored from beginning to end.
I loved revisiting Wynbridge in this book and seeing some of the characters we have met along the way.
Fliss was a great character to get to know. She does have a venerable side to her which does show through the pages but when it comes to family she is fiercely protective of them and will do all she can to help them.
The setting of the farm in Wynbridge sounds simply beautiful and the strawberries grown there sound delicious.
I found the flow of the book so easy to read and I really became immersed in the all of the characters and lives of these involved within the pages.
The cover of the book is charming and gives you lovely insight into Fenview Farm.
Heidi Swain has done it again with another heartwarming and captivating read that will be the perfect addition to your summer reading.
a beautiful story of love, family and friendship.

Primrose Park by Christie Barlow

Today I am pleased to share with you my review of this brilliant new instalment to the 'Love Heart Lane' series from Christie Barlow. Thank you to Rachel's Random Resources for inviting me to take part, and for my copy of the ebook in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Book Description

Vet Molly has always been career driven and focussed on caring for her animals, but when she meets a gorgeous Mystery Man at a conference and their connection is off the charts, well, one night off work won’t hurt anyone…except the next morning he’s vanished and all Molly knows about him is his first name.

Three months later, back in Love Heart Lane, everyone loves the story of Molly's amazing one-night stand.  It's so unlike her! But when Mystery Man turns up walking his dog through Primrose Park and their night together seems to mean nothing to him, Molly needs her friends and neighbours more than ever. And especially when she’s left with the most unexpected of surprises…

My Review
This is such a brilliant addition to the 'Love Heart Lane' series and one I could not put down.
Molly has worked hard to build her career as a vet. It hasn't always been easy but Molly now has a successful surgery and is always looking at ways to help bring more to her customers. That is why Molly has decided to add a dog behaviour course to her services.
Molly attends the training course she needs for her job at Starcross Manor, this is the beautiful hotel within Heartcross. The Manor is simply stunning but that is not all that has caught the eye of Molly. Here she literally bumps into a very handsome stranger. The chemistry between the two of them sparks from their first meeting and continues throughout the day ending in a very hot and steaming evening for the pair.
When Molly wakes the next morning she is disappointed to see the handsome stranger has disappeared leaving her alone, And all she knows is his first name.
Fast Forward three months and Molly is now back in Love Heart Lane and is about to start her dog behaviour classes when she bumps into her handsome mystery man, who clearly acts to Molly like they had never even met. That night obviously meant nothing to him and Molly is hurt.
Little does Molly realise that this is just the first shock she will experience. Luckily for Molly she has a great group of friends around her so when another shock comes her way Molly knows she will have the support of her amazing friends if no-one else.
This is such a brilliant and addictive read that really draws you into the lives of those living in Heartcross.
This book focuses on the life of Molly. She is happy living her life in Heartcross and really enjoys being part of the community. It is obvious how much the community all adore Molly too. So when Molly needs their help they all jump in and help her. I love the characters that live in Heartcross and I was wonderful to revisit them all again.
The setting of Primrose Park sounds so pretty and so romantic especially with the history linked to it.
Returning to Heartcross is like a breath of fresh air, it really lifts your heart and puts a smile on your face.
