Second Chances in Chianti by T.A. Williams

Today I am excited to share my review of this sunshine filled new release from T.A. Williams. Thank you to Rachel's Random Resources for inviting me to join in with this Publication Day Push, and for my copy of the ebook in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Book Description

Alice thought her future was set in stone, until her past came knocking...

Alice Butler starred in a successful US sitcom until tensions in the cast and crew caused the show to be cancelled. Now, five years later and working towards her dream job in art history, she’s called back for a revival of the show. It can only end in disaster, surely?

Flown to a villa in Chianti to meet with the rest of the cast, Alice must decide where her future lies – with her boyfriend, David, who laps up the Hollywood company, or with the mysterious Matt, who shies away from public attention?

My Review
This is such a wonderful Italian adventure that I loved from beginning to end.
Alice Butler has just qualified as an Art Historian and is about to embark on career of her dreams.
This hasn't always been the job that Alice enjoyed doing though as five years ago she was a big success in an American Sitcom which was hugely popular. Alice believes she has put that part of her past behind her when out of the blue an email lands in her inbox. Alice is being offered the chance to head back to America and star in the new series of the sitcom that is be made. Alice is undecided as to which way to move forward with her life, so she decides to head to the meeting in Italy to discover just what the plans are and who else will be recast too.
Alice arrives at the beautiful villa in Chianti and immediately falls in love with the historic villa and the surrounding area.
Alice is thoroughly enjoying her stay in Italy especially as her boyfriend David has come out with her and they have extended their holiday so they can explore more of what Italy has to offer them.
Alice decides while she is away that she has more than one decision to make after meeting up with a very handsome local Matt and being around Harry again Alice is not sure where her future will take her. What will Alice decide?
This was such a great read that is perfect for some much needed escapism.
I really enjoy the writing style of this book it flows well and gives you a wonderful insight into the culture and history in Chianti, not to mention all of the delicious sounding food that will definitely make your mouth water.
I enjoyed getting to know Alice. She has had such a varied past but one thing is for sure she is very hard working and is determined to succeed. It is interesting getting to know more about the relationship Alice has with David too.
This book is sunshine filled and is ready to sweep you away for some fun and romance.
Another wonderful release from T.A. Williams.

About the Author

I’m a man. And a pretty old man as well. I did languages at university a long time ago and then lived and worked in France and Switzerland before going to Italy for seven years as a teacher of English. My Italian wife and I then came back to the UK with our little daughter (now long-since grown up) where I ran a big English language school for many years. We now live in a sleepy little village in Devonshire. I’ve been writing almost all my life but it was only seven years ago that I finally managed to find a publisher who liked my work enough to offer me my first contract.

The fact that I am now writing romantic comedy is something I still find hard to explain. My early books were thrillers and historical novels. Maybe it’s because there are so many horrible things happening in the world today that I feel I need to do my best to provide something to cheer my readers up. My books provide escapism to some gorgeous locations, even if travel to them is currently difficult.
