Christmas Spirit by Nicola May

Christmas Spirit
by
Nicola May

Today I am really excited to be part off this fab festive and cosy read from Nicola May. Thank you to Rachel's Random Resources for inviting me to take part. I hope you enjoy reading my review. Happy Saturday.

Book Description
It’s two days before Christmas - and Evie Harris finds herself both manless and jobless. After a chance encounter with handsome Greg (and egged on by her toy-boy-eating friend, Bea) she agrees to work at a homeless shelter on Christmas Day. Striking up an unlikely friendship with homeless Yves, Evie begins an unwitting journey of spiritual awakening, all set against the sparkling winter backdrop of London landmarks.
A New Year’s Eve revelation is on its way . . . but will it leave Evie with a happy heart, or will she allow the pre-Christmas past to dictate her future?

My Review
This books such a festive treat and with being a novella its a read that can easily devoured in one sitting, and what a wonderful way to get you into the christmas spirit. After being dumped by her boyfriend and losing her Job just before christmas Evie finds herself at a loss as to what to do one the festive holiday, that is until a handsome stranger named Greg suggests she works at a homeless shelter to help him out. Evie jumps at the chance to take part and enjoyed doing her bit for charity. It is while she is working at the shelter that she meets a homeless stranger named Yves who is keen to help Evie experiences a side of London she didn't know about at all. While she is spending time with Yves she starts to learn so much more about herself and it gives her back her self confidence, but Evie learns very little about the stranger who is helping her out and he is very keen to keep it all a secret.
I love the way this book is written and it does a great way of describing some of Londons most famous landmarks, and makes you feel as if you are there with Evie enjoying the christmas magic.
This is the first book I have read by Nicola May but I will certainly be adding more to my collection.
