One New York Christmas by Mandy Baggot

One New York Christmas
by
Mandy Baggot

Good morning. Today I am on the blog tour for this fantastic, Festive, funny and heart warming read from the very talented Mandy Baggot. Mandy was an author I only discovered this year but she is fast becoming one of my favourites. Read on for my review and hope you all have a fab Sunday.

Will this Christmas romance be just for the holidays?
Lara weeks is heading to New York with best friend Susie for the Christmas trip of a lifetime.
A festive break in the snowy Big Apple visiting the tourist hotspots, not to mention the shopping, seems like a perfect way for Lara to get over her ex-boyfriend. Or maybe make him so jealous he begs her for a second chance.
Enlisting the help of gorgeous actor, Seth Hunt, doesn't quite go to plan, but there's something about him that has Lara wishing for a different kind of happy ever after.....

My Review
This book as the title will tell you is set in New York, which is a city I have never visited but after reading this I am ready to just jump on a plane and explore all of the areas that Lara and Seth visited while Lara had her adventure in New York.
Lara is a feisty character and does throw herself into tasks in her home town of Appleshaw, the town she has lived all her life and has never really left. She is comfortable  with her life with her Dad, Gerry and her almost brother Aldo and her boyfriend Dan. Although her world is really shaken up when Dan drops them bombshell that he wants to have a break. This leaves Lara feeling lost but her friend Susie has a genius plan of them both  heading to to New York. Susie also has a plan to get Lara pictured with some gorgeous guys to try and make Dan jealous and get him back with Lara. Visiting New York is a very scary experience for her and this shows that she is feeling less confident and shows thats he does have a more vulnerable side to her.
Seth is a actor who is between jobs after having a staring role as Dr Mike. Seth is looking at getting involved a key role that will be perfect for him especially after he finds out a few secrets from his past that he feels will really help him grab the role.
Seth and Lara don't meet up in New York by accident it has been planned before they left Appleshaw as Susie was encouraging Lara to tweet celebrities in a way to meet some new people and help with the plan to make Dan jealous. It is while doing this that Lara starts messaging Seth. What she doesn't realise is that the replies are not coming from Seth, but from his best friend and new agent Trent. Between Trent trying to get some more publicity for Seth and Susie trying to get Lara having a New York adventure, the two of them meet up at the Zoo and it isn't long before there are sparks flying between them both. Seth and Lara are soon spending more and more time together and romance is in the air. There are many funny parts as they have adventures rescuing a Reindeer and they both help in the homeless shelter that is run by Seth's mum. They also have a whirlwind time eating their way around the world visiting some of the cities best restaurants.
I love the way that Mandy  rites she has a very unique  way of sweeping you into the story and keeping you there until the very last page. She is great at describing the setting for you and you really feel like you are there too.
One New York Christmas is a fantastic read that you will enjoy from start to finish and will really get you in the mood for Christmas.

Thank you to Mandy Baggot, Penguin Random House UK and Ebury Publishing for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
