The New Guy by Kathryn Freeman

Today I am pleased to share with you my review of this romantic and funny read from Kathryn Freeman. Thank you to Rachel's Random Resources for inviting me to join the tour and for my copt of the ebook in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Book Description
Sam Huxton doesn’t do one-night stands, especially not with men she’s just met! But the hot guy at the bar was hard to resist and their one night together is one she’ll never forget.
But one night is all they share – no names, no numbers, just some much needed fun…
Until the same guy walks into Sam’s life the next day as her new employee.  Sam never mixes business with pleasure and makes it clear an office fling with Ryan is off-limits.  But after-hours…one thing can lead to another. Can Sam trust her heart and her business with the new guy?

My Review
This is such a romantic and fun read that I loved from start to finish.
Sam Huxton finds herself sat alone in a bar after the funeral of her beloved grandfather, lovingly known Grumps. Sam is sat feeling rather sorry for herself and is not enjoying drinking alone. Sam spots another lonely figure at the bar with her. The stranger is very rugged and handsome and Sam cannot keep her eyes off him. Sam tries to have a conversation with him but he is reluctant to get to get involved with talking to her.
After a few drinks together the pair of them do begin to talk and then things begin to heat up between the pair and they head back to Sam's home for was they both understand will be a one night stand.
Sam thoroughly enjoyed the one night stand and it has put a smile back on her face. That soon fades when she finds out who her new employee, Ryan is. It's only the man she spent the previous night with! Sam is shocked. She made a promise to herself to never get involved with anyone at work again after all the hurt and heartbreak she went through in the past. She does however really need the expertise of Ryan to help move her app company forward so the two of them do decide to keep what happened between them to themselves and have a professional relationship between them both. This could be a big challenge for them both and neither of them wants to get hurt either. Will the par of them be able to stay apart or will the passion they both have keep bringing them together.
This is a wonderful and fun story that I adored. It is written so well and the story is full of twists and turns so you need to keep reading to find out what will happen between the pair of them.
I enjoyed getting to know both of the main characters. They have both had difficulties in the past that they need to overcome and they both want the app company to succeed too.
I loved this book from beginning to end. It is a fun read with plenty of heat and passion too. You will not be disappointed you purchased this book.

About the Author

A former pharmacist, I’m now a medical writer who also writes romance. Some days a racing heart is a medical condition, others it’s the reaction to a hunky hero.
With a husband who asks every Valentine’s Day whether he has to buy a card (yes, he does), any romance is all in my head. Then again, his unstinting support of my career change proves love isn't always about hearts and flowers - and heroes come in many disguises.
