An uplifting romantic comedy that will warm your heart – perfect for fans of Cathy Bramley, Milly Johnson and Katie Fforde.

My Review
After reading and loving Amazing Grace the debut release from Kim Nash, I was really excited to receive my copy of this new release and wow I was not disappointed. I was really addicted to reading this and I could not put it down.
Maddy Young is loving her life. She feels like she has it all, the job, the apartment and a rather nice car. She doesn't get any chance to see her friends but that's all part of being a success isn't it?
Things however do not go to plan as in one swoop all of this coming comes crashing down around her when she is made redundant. This is not the final blow though as once he's found out she's no longer living the high life she is dumped by her boyfriend.
With all the drama that she's got going on in her life Maddy moves back home to her mums house to try and get her life back in order.
It s while she is at her mums and licking her wounds that her mum decides to try and help Maddy by encouraging her to seek out her childhood friend, Beth who still lives in the area they both grew up in.
When Maddy meets up with Beth the years they have been apart just melt away and they begin to get closer again.
As the two of them become closer Beth reveals to Maddy that she is going to be having surgery on her back and will need Maddy to help her. Maddy agrees to help out Beth and is soon swept up in helping out at Growlers, the dog day care centre that Beth has set up.
Maddy soon realises that Beth doesn't just work at Growlers,  Maddy is shocked to find out how much Beth is part of the community and soon Maddy finds herself loving doing so much for others too. He life becomes helping at growlers where she has swapped her corporate suits for overalls and she is loving her new relaxed way of life.
Things get shaken up for Maddy when her ex boyfriend comes back on the scene and he is determined to try and bring her back to the life she left behind. Maddy has a difficult decision to make.  She enjoying her new life more than her old one, and has made lots of new friends on the way. She has also become close to Beth's brother, Alex, and sparks are flying between the two of them.
Will Maddy go back to what she knows or will she take a leap and decide that she is much happier with her new relaxed life helping others?
Kim Nash has done it again! What a brilliant read!
I loved this book from the first page to the last.
I love the writing style of Kim Nash. Her books flow really well and really do draw you into the stories.
I really enjoyed getting to know Maddy and reading and watching her grow in confidence. You find out more about her as you read through the book. She is a fantastic characters and one you can relate to.
Beth is such good friend to Maddy and one we could all have in our life. She knows what Maddy needs even before Maddy can see it herself.
The setting for this book sounds amazing and there is such a contrast between the quiet community that Maddy becomes a part of, and the hustle and bustle of the city that she left behind.
With a cast of fantastic supporting characters that all help Maddy along the way and the spark of romance added in to this is such a feel good read that will stay with you long after you have read the book.

Magic Under the Mistletoe by Lucy Coleman

Today I am excited to share with you my review of this feel good festive read from Lucy Colman. Thank you to Aria Fiction for my copy of the ebook in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Book Description
It's December 23rd and while everyone else is rushing home for the holidays, workaholic Leesa Oliver is dreading switching on her out-of-office for the festive season. And it seems her equally driven boss, Cary Anderson, isn't relishing spending Christmas at his family's country estate either.
So together, they draft an unexpected Christmas contract: They'll spend half of the holidays with each other's families, pretending to be a couple. Leesa knows the insufferably good- looking Cary will make her Christmas more bearable, but what happens after the last of the mince pies have been eaten...?
Leesa signed off on a sensible business agreement, but somewhere, amongst the fairy lights and carols something seems to have changed... It seems there might just be some magic under the mistletoe this Christmas!

My Review
This is an absolutely brilliant, feel good and festive read that will have you totally hooked from the first page to the last.
Leesa Oliver is heading back to the UK after working in Sydney for the festive season. Leesa is a workaholic that isn't keen on heading back to the UK and not being able to work while she spends time with her extended family.
Leesa has been working for Cary Anderson, who is also not looking forward to the festive season and spending time with his family.
When they are due to land in the UK the weather has turned and the area is being blasted by a snowstorm. Leesa has no other choice but to go and stay with Cary and his grandmother. It is while staying here that the two of them hatch a plan and make a contract for Christmas to agree to help each other make the festive season become more bearable, especially when Leesa have a huge drama while visiting her ex in laws.
Once the season is over and they head into the new year the contract continues and the two of them are regularly in contact with each other ad seem to be spending more and more time together.
A lot happens for them both over the year and it is not long until Christmas is on the horizon. Will Leesa be able to share her true feelings with Cary and have the best family Christmas ever or will the two stay apart and just keep following the contract.
Leesa is a great character to read about. She is strong and hardworking. She has had her fair share of hurt and heartache and is now throwing herself into work to allow her to forget what happened in the past.
Cary is a very complex character who s trying his best to pursue his work and try and look after our environment.  He loves his grandmother and is trying to do his best for her too. There is also a range of quirky supporting characters that really add to the story.
The setting for this book sounds idyllic and the perfect place for some magic to happen.
I love the way the book is written. It flows really well and really draws you into the story.
this is a brilliant, fun and festive release. This is not the first book I have read from Lucy Coleman and it certainly will not be the last.

One Christmas star by Mandy Baggot

Today I am so excited to share with you my review of this fantastic, festive read from Mandy Baggot. Thank you to Aria fiction for inviting me to Goethe tour and for my copy of the book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Book Description
Emily Parker is set to have the worst Christmas ever!

Her flatmate's moved out, she's closed her heart to love and she's been put in charge of the school original Christmas show – with zero musical ability.
Disgraced superstar, Ray Stone is in desperate need of a quick PR turnaround. Waking up from a drunken stupor to a class of ten-year-olds snapping pics and Emily looking at him was not what he had in mind.
Ray needs Emily's help to delete the photos, and she needs his with the show. As they learn to work together they may just open their hearts to more than a second chance...

My Review
This is an absolutely brilliant read that I loved from start to finish and is perfect for getting into the festive spirit.
Emily Parker is dreading Christmas. She doesn't feel festive at all. She is now living alone after her flatmate moved out. And she is definitely not looking for love either. It is while she is at work as a teacher and has it thrust on her that she needs to be in charge of the Christmas production, she truly feels like this is the worst Christmas ever.
Singing superstar Ray Stone is not having a good time either. He feels his life is in major need of a turn around after being snapped again while in a drunken stupor. And things are not helped by his ex partner selling stories that paint Ray in a very bad light.
Ray feels like life can't get any worse after walking up in a school shed after trying to help out an injured hedgehog.
Emily finds Ray in the shed and the two strike up a conversation, this leads Ray comes to Emily's help to fix her broken heating system.
It is while he is helping Emily that she feels she could help him too by inviting him to stay in her spare room and help him get the press of his back. In return Emily asks him to help her write the school production so that she doesn't fail. It is not long before the pair begin to enjoy spending time in each others company and there is even a spark of romance. Could they both be what each other needed, and will they  have a second chance of finding romance?
This is such a cosy and feel good read. Perfect for perking up these grey days that we are now having.
I really loved getting to know both of the characters. Emily is very quiet and closed off to love after events from her past and is does not want to let anyone else in. It is great to see her blossom and grow in confidence as you read through the book. Ray is a very complex character who does not want the fame he has found all he wants to do is write songs. It is great to see him soften his rough edges and see him in a different light as you go through the book.  There are also some great supporting characters that help them both along the way.
I really liked the setting for this book and it seems to fit in so well with it being the festive season. I also really enjoy the writing style of Mandy Baggot as they are so easy to read and be transported to wherever the book is set.
Many Baggot has done it again with this smashing read and I am already looking forward to reading what comes next.

Pedalo Pandemonium by Amanda Paull

Today I am pleased to share with you my review of this latest novella from Amanda Paull. Thank you to Rachel's Random Resources for inviting me to join the tour and for my copy of the ebook in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Book Description
Pedalo Pandemonium (Scott Family Short Story, Book 4)
Laura and Ben are still together, against all the odds. Laura's Family the Scotts are adorable - but they wreak havoc wherever they go. The couple have survived first date silicon dog poo, Christmas mayhem and even dodgy marshmallows.

Their future together may have looked doomed on more than one occasion, but here they are at the airport – eating bacon sandwiches and watching planes take off, as they wait to board their flight to Mallorca.

A whole week in an idyllic Spanish fishing village. Just the two of them. Away from their families and the usual chaos. Wonderful.

What could possibly go wrong...?

My Review
This a a brilliant and funny read that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Laura and Ben are off on holiday together to Mallorca. There have been plenty of mishaps and issues between the pair since they got together, mostly surrounding the Scott family who are able to cause havoc wherever they go.
Laura and Ben are looking forward to spending the week together near the sea,  just being alone and getting time to relax. Things don't get off to a great start for the pair when they are dropped off little way from their hotel and the last stretch they need to walk is a steep hill down. not easy with all their luggage and and bike box.
The two of them make it to their hotel just about in one piece and are soon relaxing and enjoying the start of their holiday.
But this is Laura and Ben and things never seem to go smoothly for the pair why should this holiday be any different.
This is a brilliant and hilarious read that I really enjoyed. I have not read the other parts to the series however it was easy to follow as you are given a brief back story as you head through the book. The setting for this book is wonderful and sounds like the perfect get away for a relaxing break. I really liked getting to know both Laura and Ben. They both just want a relaxing break after the dramas they have had so far in their relationship. The issues and dramas they have on their holiday will really have you laughing and it makes for a brilliant read.
I will now be reading the other instalments to this series.

About the Author

My name is Amanda Paull. Well, that's my pen name, not my real one, which helps to keep my writing separate from my day job.

I grew up in the North East of England and couldn't wait to move away. However, after studying and then living both in England and abroad, I returned to the North East and wouldn't dream of living anywhere else now.
Going to Grammar school in the days when teachers wore black caps and gowns, and walloped at will, wasn't much fun for a shy, quiet child like myself. So, I just kept my head down, did my homework and tried to stay invisible.
I used to love daydreaming and making up stories in my head, but I never thought about writing them down. In those days, writing wasn't an enjoyable pursuit, it was more of a time to tow the line and avoid being hit by a flying blackboard rubber. I was the type of pupil who would have been mortified to have 'made' a teacher launch one at me, so I would have shown respect by not ducking.
A short career in teaching was a revelation, to put it mildly. After going back to University, I settled into my current post in the public sector, where I am very happy.
It was Jim, a work colleague, who suggested around 12 years ago that I write a book. Apparently, my contribution to coffee break conversations always seemed to be either tragic or hilarious. But to me it was just normal stuff. No-one would want to read about that.
Then, a couple of years later, while sunbathing in Mallorca with my boyfriend, who is now my husband, and a glass of Cava, the idea of writing a humorous fiction novel came to me. I didn't need to make it all up though as I had a plentiful supply of funny real life snippets.
To get started, I studied creative writing through the Open University, which fitted nicely around my job and, to my delight, was absolutely nothing like school. The Scott Family Short Stories started out as an assignment for this course. A Christmas Day Kerfuffle was the result of the fictional account of the first Christmas brunch my husband spent with my family. Of all the short stories, this one has more true snippets in it than the others. The taxi driver and bike box scene in Pedalo Pandemonium was pretty true to life, too. The driver looked different, but the airport to hotel transfer only required slight embellishment.

I also write Women’s Fiction. Pictures in the Sky was my debut novel, and I am currently writing my second, Painting Bananas.

Cover Reveal - A Typical Family Christmas by Liz Davies

Today I am excited to take art into cover reveal for this brilliant new release from Liz Davies. Thank you to Rachel's Random Resources for inviting me to take part in this cover reveal and I am really looking forward to reading this book.

Book Description
For once, Kate Peters would like a happy, family Christmas; the kind of Christmas seen in the movies. She wants harmony and happiness, smiling, glowing faces, tables groaning with food, carol singing around the tree. She wants love, kindness, and goodwill to all men, especially in

her own house.

What she doesn’t want is drama. Absolutely no drama, whatsoever.

But what she gets is three stroppy children, two equally stroppy grandmothers, a husband who can’t manage to change a lightbulb, and Pepe the poodle.

It’s no wonder she feels unappreciated, overworked, and ignored. At the end of her tinsel-coated tether, and with the only Christmas spirit being in the form of a bottle of raspberry gin, Kate decides to leave them to it, and see how they manage without her.

A quiet little hotel somewhere near the sea, where she can pretend Christmas doesn’t exist, is just the thing she needs. Isn’t it?

And now here it is the cover ......

What a beautiful cover. It is so festive and really makes me want to start reading it. I love the colour of it too.

This book is published on 10th October 2019

About the Author

Liz Davies writes feel-good, light-hearted stories with a hefty dose of romance, a smattering of humour, and a great deal of love.
She’s married to her best friend, has one grown-up daughter, and when she isn’t scribbling away in the notepad she carries with her everywhere (just in case inspiration strikes), you’ll find her searching for that perfect pair of shoes. She loves to cook but isn’t very good at it, and loves to eat - she’s much better at that! Liz also enjoys walking (preferably on the flat), cycling (also on the flat), and lots of sitting around in the garden on warm, sunny days.
She currently lives with her family in Wales, but would ideally love to buy a camper van and travel the world in it.

One Day in Winter by Shari Low

Today it is my turn on the blog tour for this fantastic, feel good read from Shari Low. Thank you to Aria fiction for my copy of the ebook in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Book Description

On a cold December's morning...

Caro sets off to find the truth: has her relationship with her father been based on a lifetime of lies?

Cammy can't wait to surprise the woman he loves with a proposal. All he needs is the perfect ring.
Lila can no longer hide her secret. She has to tell her lover's wife about their affair. After thirty years, Bernadette knows it's time. She's ready to leave her controlling
husband... and never look back.
Over the course of twenty-four hours, four lives are about to change forever...

My Review
This is a highly addictive read and I couldn't put it down.
This book is set over just one day in December.
It shows the lives of four individuals who are all in someways interlinked together. This book tells of all the happiness, heartache and sadness that can all happen within 24 hours.
You meet Caro, Caro is travelling across Scotland. She has found out about a big family secret and is determined to get tho the bottom of what's happen and find out the truth.
Cammy is in love and is determined to marry his true love. If only he could find the perfect ring then maybe he could have his happy every after.
Bernadette is a very downtrodden wife who has put up with her husbands controlling ways for too long. She has decided that enough is enough and that she is going to leave him.
Lila is so used to getting her own way and seems to just want more and more. She also can't keep her secret in anymore and is desperate for the truth to come out and for all of her dreams to come true.
This book follows the four of them on one day in December. They are all interlinked to each other although they don't all know it just yet. The setting for this book is Glasgow and it seems to be the perfect setting for this story. The story flows very well and each chapter is based on one person that day. There are some good supporting characters within the book that really help strengthen the story and help you understand the past of some of the main characters too.
This book will have you feeling a range of emotions as the stories they each have to tell unravel which will keep you absorbed right up until the very end.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
