Living My Best Life by Claire Frost

Today I am really excited to share with you my review of this brilliant debut release from Claire Frost. Thank you to Anne Cater of Random things tours and Simon & Schuster UK for my copy of the book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Book Description
This heart-warming and funny novel is the perfect balm for the Insta-weary mind – get ready to shatter the illusion that is #LivingMyBestLife.
Bell never thought she’d be facing her 40th birthday single.Recently dumped by her boyfriend of ten years, shes struggling to move on with her life – and surrender the fleecy pyjamas she’sbeen living in since January. Sick of being bombarded by #blessedon social media and feeling like her life doesn’t live up to everyone else’s, she decides it’s time for a change; time to find out who she really isnot who she thinks she should be.
Millie is a successful online influencer posting under the handle @mi_bestlife, but as a single mum trying to make ends meet and stay ahead of the younger generation snapping
at her heels, her Instagram feed is far more #BestLie than #BestLife. With internet trolls attempting to bring her down and an ex who cares more about playing football than seeing their son, Millie begins to wish her life was more like her filters.
It isn’t until Millie and Bell’s paths cross that the two women begin to realise what they’re missing. Will Bell finally learn to live life for herself? And will Millie see that she needs to start living for the moment and not for the likes?

My Review
This is an absolutely brilliant debut read that I found highly addictive and couldn't put down.
Belle is feeling sorry for herself after and struggling with deciding what she wants from her life after the break up of her ten year relationship. She is living her life in fleecy pjs but after an intervention from her best friend, who is determined to help Belle make the most of her life she is soon making small changes and heading out more. It is not long before these small changes become big changes and Belle is beginning to enjoy life once again.
Mille is a social media influencer with a huge following on Instagram under the handle @mi_bestlife she enjoys the attention that she gets from this but, its getting harder and harder to stay ahead in the game especially as Millie is a single parent and she is finding it more and more difficult to juggle her life. She also is finding that her pictures that she are posting are becoming more about lying and using filters than telling people what her life is really about.
It's only after a chance meeting at a rather chilly swimming pool that Belle and Millie get to know each other and start to strike up a friendship. They both quickly become firm friends and are soon supporting each other. They are able to share their lives with each other and encourage each other to see the good things in their lives and show each other what they could be missing.
With the help of each other will they both begin to live their best lives?
I thoroughly enjoyed this refreshing debut release from Claire Frost.  It is a great story of friendship and how to help each other become the best they can be. I found that you can relate to both of the main characters and understand how they both are feeling. I loved getting know both of them and reading as they both changed their lives. This book does highlight and show how much social media does play in each of our lives and how much people can enjoy it. I also enjoyed getting to know some of the supporting characters too. They all become an important part in the lives of Belle and Mille. There is even a spark of romance too.
I'm already looking forward to reading the next release from Claire Frost.

About the Author

Claire Frost grew up in Manchester, the middle of three sisters. She always wanted to do a job that involved writing, so after studying Classics at Bristol University she started working in magazines. For the last 10 years she's been at The Sun On Sunday's Fabulousmagazine, where she is Assistant Editor and also responsible for the title's book reviews. She can mostly be found at her desk buried under a teetering TBR pile.
