Book Description
Two worlds, 4,000 miles apart. Is their love strong enough to keep them together?

Rachel Hardy dreams of being a successful country music singer in Nashville's Music City, four thousand miles away from her lonely life in Dorset. When Jackson Phillips, an independent record label owner, encourages her band to audition for a nationwide 'Open Mic' competition, she decides they have nothing to lose.

But when she starts to fall in love with Jackson, the stakes suddenly get higher and she finds herself with a great big dilemma on her hands. Should she abandon her dream and take the easy way out or should she leave the life she has always known behind and take a gamble on a man who has personal demons of his own?

Follow Rachel and Jackson as they learn to trust in love again to see whether their music really can unite them.

My Review
This is a wonderful, heartwarming and romantic read that I enjoyed from start to finish.
Rachel Hardy works as a singing teacher in a local school in Dorset. In her free time Rachel sings in a band with her two close friends.
Rachel has big dreams in her life and she wants to become a big country singer in Nashville's Music city. She has not had an easy life, both of her parents have passed away and her last boyfriend betrayed her. This makes her very close to her friends.
Rachel and her band are playing a gig at a local  venue when she meets the very handsome Jackson Phillips, He was asking about her band and complimented her on her singing and song writing ability. Rachel finds herself attracted to Jackson and is pleased when he offers to take her home. The two begin to get to know each other and Jackson is soon becoming a regular feature at Rachel's gigs.
The two of them do have a blossoming relationship and Jackson starts to encourage Rachel and the band to enter into a music competition, they sail through each round of the competition. Rachel also finds out that Jackson is a big independent record label owner so he does know a thing or two about the music industry.
When the band come second in the big music competition Rachel has a big decision to make as Jackson offers her the opportunity of a lifetime. He wants her to travel to Nashville with him and make a demo CD. This looks like the dream that Rachel has had for so long could have the possibility of working out for her. But is she brave enough to take up his offer and will it all work out, or is Rachel destined to get her heart broken again. There is only one way to find out.
This is such a wonderful that had me absorbed from start to finish.
Rachel is such a brave character. She has had difficulties in her past with losing her parents. This does make her seem insecure at times but also that is where she also gets her strength from and you can see it also inspires her to make something of her life. She also has good friends around her. One of which may just care more than Rachel realises.
Jackson is a fantastic character who simply adores Rachel and wants to give her an amazing life. He also has had things happen in the past with his relationships which also affect how he deals with somethings that occur.
This is a well written read. I enjoyed reading about both the town in Dorset and the setting in Nashville. Its great that you get to read from both the perspective of Rachel and Jackson as you get a good idea of how each of them is feeling.
I loved this book and it is one you will definitely not be disappointed you purchased.
