Book Description

When Willow walks out on her own wedding, there's only one place she can go...

Growing up in the island village of Seaview, Willow always dreamed of a bigger life. Then her childhood sweetheart Luc betrayed her and she ran, resolving never to look back. Now, twelve years on, her glamorous London life is a mess and the island is her only option.

But she's not the only one back for the summer. Luc is now a world-famous heartthrob musician, and he's finally come home to headline the Isle of Wight's annual music festival.

As Willow untangles her messy past, she stumbles on a secret that could destroy her family, the island's fragile community - and her second chance at love...

My Review
This is a brilliant summer read and one I could not put down.
Willow is on the verge of walking down the aisle to marry Charlie when she finally decides that this is not what she wants and she flees from the wedding.
She makes the decision to head back to her home town of Seaview on the Isle of Wight to get her life back in order.
Willow is enjoying being back in Seaview, but she knows she has some difficult decisions to make with what to do with her future. Things become more complicated when her childhood best friend, Luc arrives back in Seaview too. The two of them were inseparable growing up and Luc has always had a piece of Willows heart.
When Willow finds out that the well loved festival that her mum puts on in Seaview is under threat she decides to stay longer in Seaview to help her out. But the longer she stays the more secrets are revealed from the past and the more confusing life becomes.
Does Willow head back to her busy life in London, or does her life and heart belong in Seaview?
One things for sure it is not going to be a quiet summer in Seaview.
This is such a wonderful and thoroughly engaging read that will really have you hooked from the first page.
The setting of the Isle of Wight is the perfect spot for some romance too.
I enjoyed reading the book from the many different aspects it took and I loved how you got insight into the lives of Krystal, Cathy and Don from the past too.
Willow is a very relatable character who has been hurt in her past and has allowed that to dominate her future. It is great to read her and see how much control she takes back.
Luc was a really interesting character within the book. He too has a tough time with being thrown into the spotlight and dealing with his new found fame as well as difficulties from his childhood too.
There is a wonderful cast of characters within the book who all add their part to the story.
This is a great read from Rachel Burton, full of romance, friendship and love, and is the perfect summer read.
