Your Secret's Safe With Me by Rosie Travers

Today I am really excited to be sharing my review of this highly addictive read from Rosie Travers. I would like to thank Rachel's Random Resources for inviting me to take part and for my copy of this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Book Description
Career girl Becca Gates’ organised life is thrown into chaos when her mother, romantic novelist Pearl, announces her surprise engagement to Jack, a man she has only just met.
Worse news follows when Pearl tells Becca she intends to leave London, quit writing, and retire to her new fiancĂ©’s idyllic waterside home on the south coast. Becca is determined to prevent Pearl from making a disastrous mistake, but when she at arrives at Rivermede, more shocks await when she stumbles upon a familiar yet unwelcome face from her past.
As Pearl embraces her new life amongst the local sailing fraternity, Becca receives a grim warning that all is not as calm as it seems at picturesque Rivermede, and if she wants to keep her family safe, she should keep them away.
But why should Becca trust the man who has betrayed her before, the man who broke her heart, the man who thinks he knows all her secrets?

My Review
This is a fantastic and highly addictive read that I loved from start to finish. I loved the mystery and with so many twists and turns within the story it was hard to put down.
Becca is struggling to come to terms with the bombshell her mother pearl has just dropped by announcing she is getting married again. Becca is not against her mother being happy, her concerns are that it is happen too quickly as she's only known the man 8 weeks after meeting him on a cruise. Becca is keen to persuade Pearl to think about her actions and understand the upset that it will cause for the whole family. She calls upon her brother Freddy to help her out but he doesn't seem to be worried about it.
Becca is further shocked when her mum says she is moving into the home of her husband to be Jack in the waterside house on the south coast. This will mean selling her home in London which will mean that Becca will be moving too.
Once she has moved in with Pearl and Jack Becca visits the local pub and bumps into her ex fiancĂ© Nick, who she is shocked to see especially when he tells her his name is Alex! Becca finds out he is working undercover and he has told her that the area is unsafe but she is reluctant to believe him as he has lied to her before.
What follows in the book is the adventure this dysfunctional family has in the lead up to the wedding. There is definitely something sinister going on with the sleepy town and Becca wants to find out what it is and she is desperate to keep her family safe, and should she trust Nick, or will he let her down again. There are some fantastic twists and turns as you read the book that you will not see coming, and there is more than one mystery to solve.
I loved the writing style of Rosie Travers she has a way of keeping you engrossed in the story and keep you guessing with the mystery and intrigue right up to the very end.
This is the first book I have read by Rosie but I am already looking forward to seeing what adventure she takes us on next.
