Make it up to You by Lucy Keeling

Today it is my stop on the Blog Tour for this brilliant read from Lucy Keeling. Thank you to Rachel's Random Resources for inviting me to join the tour and for my copy of the ebook in exchange form honest and unbiased review.

Book Description
What do mascara wands and gardening shears have in common?

Absolutely nothing! At least that’s what wannabe beauty influencer Sophie Timney thinks when her friend Polly suggests involving her brother Marcus in Sophie’s make-up tutorials. She needs more views, Marcus needs promotion for his gardening business – in Polly’s mind joining forces will help them both. Sophie isn’t so sure.

Because Marcus Bowman has a habit of getting under her skin in a way that no exfoliating face scrub ever could. But, as the views and comments on her videos begin creeping up, it becomes increasingly obvious that Sophie’s subscribers like Marcus, and what’s even worse is that Sophie might be starting to feel the same way …

My Review
This is a brilliant, funny and witty read that I loved from start to finish.
Sophie Timney is a beauty blogger and she is working hard to grow her profile across all of her social media platforms. She is finding it all a struggle and her views and followers are not growing as quickly as she would like.
Sophie's friend Polly, suggests that a collaboration with someone else will help to boost her accounts. Sophie isn't sure especially when the person that Polly suggests is Marcus Bowman.
Marcus Bowman is a Gardener that is also in need of help with promoting his business and making it a success. So the suggestion is that the two of them help each other and star in videos together. But what do a beauty blogger and a gardener have in common. The two are both so different can the two be brought together and will they both succeed?
What Sophie also did not factor into her plan was just how gorgeous Marcus was, and how much she would find herself drawn to him especially with how much he seems to be able to get under her skin.
With her accounts getting more and more views and her followers liking Marcus how long will it be before Sophie shows more than a liking to him too?
I really enjoyed this book from the first page to the last. The writing style is both fun and witty and will really have you laughing. The writing flows well and will keep you interested from beginning to end.
I really liked the character of Sophie. She was fun and very relatable. I do understand why she was keen to grow her social media following and her reluctance to involve Marcus in her plans.
Marcus is also fun to get to know. All he wants is to make a success of his business not learn too much about makeup.
I really enjoyed reading about the two of them as they get to know each other and watch as their relationship blossoms.
This is a brilliant read and I'm already looking forward to reading more from Lucy Keeling.
