Summertime at the Cornish Confetti Agency by Daisy James

Today is my stop on the Blog Tour for this wonderful and intriguing new release from Daisy James. Thank you to Rachel's Random Resources for inviting me to join the tour, and for my copy of the ebook in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Book Description

It’s Summertime at The Cornish Confetti Agency!

When Lexie Harrington is asked to co-ordinate Kat and Dylan’s ‘English village fĂȘte’ wedding, she’s determined that this time everything will go according to her carefully laid plans; no ice bucket challenges, no whoopee cushions, and absolutely no googly eyes attached to everything in sight!

With gorgeous journalist-cum-wedding columnist Theo Barker to offer a helping hand, Lexie is optimistic that she can deliver the fairy tale wedding her clients have always dreamed of…. until the best man Noah is targeted by a loose hosepipe, the wedding rings go walk-about, and his beloved scarlet Porsche takes on a distinctly unpleasant aroma.

Can Lexie and Theo uncover what’s behind the mysterious goings on, or will the Cornish Confetti Agency be forced to close its doors to the future brides and grooms of glorious Cornwall?

My Review
This is the second instalment in this wonderful series and after reading the first part I could not wait to get started reading the next instalment.
We return to Cornwall to The Cornish Confetti Agency, and to Lexie who is temporarily running the agency.
This time the story focuses on the wedding of Kat and Dylan. They have chosen the theme of an English fete wedding and Lexie has enjoyed working on the planning of this wedding and to see the happy couple tie the knot.
This is the second wedding that Lexie will have been the planner for and she is hoping it will be more stress free than the first one.
But with only a few days until the wedding things begin to go wrong.
With the first incident being a faulty sprinkler soaking the best man, the rings going missing and then a rather nice car ending up smelling of fish.
Lexie certainly has her work cut out trying to keep the wedding on track. Luckily she has the very handsome Theo there again to help her out. Between them they are sure they can get to the bottom of the mystery before the wedding becomes completely derailed.
This is so important to Lexie as this could be the last wedding she does and will have to move back to London. This would mean leaving all the friends she has made especially Theo.
Can they solve the mysteries together?
I simply adored this book from beginning to end.
The book flows well and I enjoy all of the twist and turns with the mysteries around the wedding.
Having read the first book in the series I enjoyed getting to know Lexie better and watch her blossom and grow with the second wedding. You also get to know more about Theo. There is an obvious spark of romance from the two of them which you can almost feel coming off of the pages.
This is a great addition to the series and I'm already looking forward to what comes next for Lexie.
This is perfect for some escapism in the sunshine.

About the Author

Daisy James loves writing stories with strong heroines and swift-flowing plotlines. She especially likes to create sunshine-filled settings in exotic locations - the Caribbean, Tuscany, Cornwall, Provence - so she can spend her time envisioning her characters enjoying the fabulous scenery and sampling the local food and drink.

When not scribbling away in her peppermint-and-green summerhouse (garden shed), she spends her time sifting flour and sprinkling sugar and edible glitter. She loves gossiping with friends over a glass of something fizzy or indulging in a spot of afternoon tea - china plates and teacups are a must.
