Today I am excited to take part in this Mini Blog Blitz for this latest instalment from Merriment Bay by Emily Harvale. Thank you to Rachel's Random Resources for inviting me to take part, and for my copy of the ebook in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
Book Description
Change is in the air as wedding bells ring out in Merriment Bay
Cat’s determined to propose to Amias. Well, it is a leap year so it’s fine for women to do the asking, and besides, it took him eighteen years to tell her how he felt. She’s not going to wait for him to pop the question. All she needs to do is find the perfect time and place.
Kyra’s fallen for Francis Raine, who seems happy to flirt and exchange banter but hasn’t actually asked her out. Does he reciprocate her feelings, or is he this way with every girl he meets? There’s only one way to find out. She’ll ask him on a date … as soon as he returns to Merriment Bay.
Mary’s leaving Devon Villa after a lifetime spent in the house. She’s never lived alone so it’s both an exciting and a terrifying prospect. But change is good, isn’t it? Perhaps it’s time she tried a few other new things too.
The Devon women want to move on to the next chapters in their lives. And as Viola Devon used to say before she died, “The only one who can write your own life story as you want it, is you.” Although Viola’s didn’t work out too well. Will Cat, Kyra, and Mary have better luck with theirs?
My Review
This has been such a wonderful series and I have loved each book from beginning to end.
We are heading right back to where we left off with Chasing Moonbeams in Merriment Bay.
Cat has decided that she is going to propose to Amias. It is a leap year and she is determined her plan will work out. She doesn't want to wait for Amias to ask her as she feels she will be waiting forever. All she is struggling with is the making sure the time and place are perfect.
Mary has decided to sell the Devon Villa. It is where she has lived for many years but she feels the time is right. Having never lived on her own this will be a challenge for her but Mary has decided that now would be a good time for a change and is looking forward to seeing what other changes she can make to her life too.
Kyra has fallen in love. If only she knew if Francis Raine loved her too. He seems to enjoy flirting with her but does he feel the same for Kyra. There is only one way to find out and Kyra is determined to get an answer that she wants.
With each of the Devon girls lives moving on and having drastic changes are they all going to get the happy ever after they are all longing for.
This is such a wonderful, heartwarming and uplifting read that I could not put down.
The writing style of each of the books flows well and I love the way the storylines are intertwined through from the Wynter House series too.
I have really enjoyed getting to know the Devon Girls throughout this series. I found them all to very relatable and its nice to finally seeing them maybe getting all the happiness they all deserve.
I love all of the romance in this book and all the twists and turns with the will they won't they with Cat and Amias will really keep you guessing.
This book is so uplifting and will really lift your spirits even on the dullest and darkest of days.
This series from Emily Harvale has been such a treat to read and I am already eager to read where her next book will be taking us.
