You May Kiss the Bridesmaid by Camilla Isley

Today is my stop on the Blog Tour for this fun and witty read from Camilla Isley. Thank you to Rachel's Random Resources for inviting me to join the tour, and for my copy the ebook in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Book Description

Archibald Hill is handsome, single, and he’s going to his best friend’s wedding ready to make a conquest or two. After all, everyone knows weddings are the perfect setting to get lucky.

Summer Knowles used to have a life—friends, family, a sister who’d do anything for her—until she blew it all away with a terrible mistake. Now, attending her twin’s wedding as the party’s undesirable number one seems like more than she can handle. So, when a tall stranger with smoldering ice-blue eyes offers her a therapy of seven nights of no-strings-attached fun, she might even ignore that he has a beard and accept.

Problem is, Summer has never been good at keeping sex and feelings separated…

My Review

This is a great fun and witty read that I could not put down.

Summer is dreading her twin sisters wedding. It means seeing people she hasn't seen for a long time after the disastrous mistake she made with her private life. All she wants to do is get through the next seven days without any confrontation to ruin her sisters expertly planned big day.

Archibald is looking forward to attending his best friends wedding and being his best man. He is single, attractive and interested in how many conquests he can get a wedding full of single woman. He isn't planning on anything serious he just wants to have a good time.

Summer and Archie bump into each other at the bar on the first evening of the weeks celebrations. There is a spark of attraction between the pair of them on first sight but Summer is adamant that she will be on her best behaviour for the wedding and not draw any attention to herself. Archie thinks that Summer needs a smile other face and he is just the person to put it there so her offers her a no strings evening which Summer immediately turns down. But as the evening progresses and she learns more about Archie. Maybe he could be the distraction she needs this week. The only issue is Summer finds it difficult to keep sex and feelings apart. This could be an exciting week ahead or them both.

This was such a fun read and one I enjoyed from beginning to end. I found the characters to be very relatable and I enjoyed the way the story progressed.

The character of Summer was interesting to get to know. I liked how her back story was linked to another book I have read from Camilla Isley. She obviously made a mistake in her past but is trying to make up to everyone for it.

Archie was a fun character to read about. He obviously enjoys his life and doesn't take anything too seriously. It is nice to see a relationship or sorts begin between him and Summer.

This is such a fun, feel good and romantic read. The writing style of the book flows well and really keeps you engaged from the first page to the last.

This is a brilliant read and one you will not be disappointed you purchased.
