Book Description
An inspiring and escapist read – Eat, Pray, Love meets Bridget Jones!

Will the trip of her dreams…
Everly Carter is bored.
With her job, with her single status and with the never ending line of rubbish men on Tinder.  Tired of going through the motions of seeming happy, Everly wants to be happy!

So, in a spontaneous moment of bravery (perhaps spurred on by a few cocktails) Everly books a holiday.  Time away, alone, to find out what she really wants from life.
Become the journey of her lifetime?
Everly’s search for happiness takes her to picturesque Swiss villages and the sunsets of glamorous Bermuda.  But with every new stamp in her passport, Everly still feels as though something is missing…
Could it be that true happiness is hard to find, until she finds herself?

My Review
I was really looking forward to reading this book and I was not disappointed. It is perfect for some escapism and is full of sunshine that will really lift you up and make you smile.
Everly is stuck in a rut and she is bored with her life. She works hard as a teacher for a living however the hours are long but the pay isn't as good as she would like, and since the split with her boyfriend Jay, her money is just being spent on her home and there is little left over for Everly to have fun.
It is while she is on a yet another rubbish date from Tinder that Everly makes a decision to try and change her life. She books the first flight she can to Switzerland for a holiday and she even books skiing lessons!
once back in London, Everly decides she wants more from her life and when an email from her friend Tilly arrives telling her about a job vacancy in Bermuda, Everly applies.  Everly is shocked to find out after her interview that she has been offered a six month job and it doesn't take her long to get her flat rented out, her belongings packed and Everly is on her way to Bermuda.
It doesn't take Everly long to fall in love with the beautiful island and she is soon making friends and she is loving her new job. it is while out for the evening that Everly meets Spencer and sparks are soon flying between the pair and romance blossoms.
The six months fly by and it isn't long before Everly has to make a big decision about moving forward with her life and where she wants it to go. she has many options available to her but which one will make her happy?
I loved this book from start to finish. Such a perfect beach read that is full of exotic destinations so even if you are staying home for the holidays it will fill you with sunshine.
I really liked the character of Everly and I thought the decisions she made to change her life were very brave. It is really lovely to watch her bloom and grow as you read the book. It is great to see her making such bold decisions and making the most of the opportunities that become available to her.
The description of all the exotic places that Everly visit sound perfectly beautiful with white sand and turquoise seas, that will make you want to jump on a plane and visit them too.
I loved this read from Carrie Stone and I'm looking forward to seeing where her next book will take us.
