The Secret Cove in Croatia by Julie Caplin

It's publication day for this fantastic new release from Julie Caplin and I am so excited to be helping to kick off her blog today. Thank you to Rachels's Random Resources for inviting me to take part and for my copy of the ebook in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Book Description
Sail away to beautiful Croatia for summer sun, sparkling turquoise seas and a holiday romance that’s forever…

When no-nonsense, down-to-earth Maddie Wilcox is offered the chance to work on a luxury yacht for the summer, she can’t say no. Yes she’ll be waiting on the posh guests… But island-hopping around the Adriatic sea will more than make up for it – especially when Nick, her best friend Nina’s brother, is one of them.

Sparks fly when they meet on board and Maddie can’t believe self-entitled jerk Nick is really related to Nina.
But in a secret, picture-perfect cove, away from the real world, Maddie and Nick discover they might have more in common than they realise…

My Review
I was so excited to get my hands on a copy of this book as I have loved all of Julie Caplin's book so far and I couldn't wait to dive in.
Maddie has recently completed an art history degree at university and is now on the hunt for a job, and after rejection from a  local art gallery things become desperate for Maddie. So when she gets a phone call with the opportunity of a a job working on a luxury yacht over the summer Maddie jumps at the chance.
Maddie will be working on the ship as part of the crew to make sure all of the guests are happy and well fed. It is a big opportunity for her, who wouldn't want to spend the summer sailing around the Adriatic Sea?
Maddie knows that one of the guests on the yacht is going to be her friend, Nina's brother, Nick. She is guessing which one of the guests he is and she is shocked to find out how rude he is and can't believe he is related to Nina at all.
Maddie is really enjoying being on the yacht and getting to know all of the guests on board. There are a few sparks of interest between Maddie and Nick but Maddie is keen to shut it down as she feels that they are not the kind of people she has anything in common with  and she is the staff.
Things could change for Maddie when Nick comes to her rescue after an incident, and then Maddie has the chance to repay the favour to him and they start to get to know each other better. When the two of them find themselves alone on the yacht in a secluded cove will they get the chance to let romance blossom or will they just remain friends?
I found this a brilliant sunshine filled book that I couldn't put down even if it did mean a late night!
The characters in this book are great to get to know. They are all are very different but they all added to the story and its fun getting to know them and learn all of their quirks. I really did not like Tara as I felt she was so fake and toxic. The settings for the book sound so beautiful and will make you wish you were on the yacht enjoying the experiences with all the guests too.
This is another superb read from Julie Caplin and I am already looking forward to the next adventure that Julie will takes on.

About the Author

Jules Wake announced at the age of ten that she planned to be a writer. Along the way she was diverted by the glamorous world of PR and worked on many luxury brands, taking journalists on press trips to awful places like Turin, Milan, Geneva, Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam and occasionally losing the odd member of the press in an airport. This proved fabulous training for writing novels as it provided her with the opportunity to eat amazing food, drink free alcohol, hone her writing skills on press releases and to research European cities for her books.
She writes best-selling warm-hearted contemporary fiction for HarperImpulse.
Under her pen name, Julie Caplin, her twelfth novel, The Secret Cove in Croatia published in ebook format this July.
