The Wedding Planner by Eve Devon

Today I am sharing with you my review of this brilliant new instalment from Eve Devon. Thank you to Rachel's Random Resources for inviting me to join the tour and for my copy of the book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Book Description
Wedding bells are ringing and gossip is spiralling in Whispers Wood…
Single mum Gloria Pavey has a bad habit of saying exactly the wrong thing at the wrong time. Determined to make a positive change she can’t say no when her best friend, Emma, asks her to take on the role of her wedding planner. The only problem? Gloria’s co-planner – best man Seth Knightley.
Gloria is on a self-imposed man ban but pulling together the most beautiful wedding Whispers Wood has ever seen alongside gorgeous Seth is pushing her to her limits. As every interaction increases the tension between them Gloria finds herself wondering…could the happy ever after she never thought she’d have be in her future after all?

My Review
This is a brilliant, laugh out loud read that will have you hooked from the first page to the last.
Gloria Pavey is a single mum. She has little or no friends due to her ability of saying the wrong thing.  However things are changing as Gloria has had therapy, she is beginning to become more confident and comes across better with others. Part of her change is to stop saying no to others, this is how Gloria becomes the wedding planner to her friend, Emma. Gloria is pleased with the prospect of being able to help her friend, the only issue she has is that she will not be planning it on her own as her she will be planning it all with the very handsome, best man Seth Knightley.
There is chemistry between the pair and Gloria finds it harder and harder to plan the best wedding that Whispering Wood has ever seen.
Gloria is determined that she is off men and she is trying her hardest to put the feelings she may have for Seth to one side, but they keep coming  up to the surface. Is this Gloria's chance to find happy ever after of will she ignore her feelings and move on.
I loved this book from start to finish. It is part three in the Whispering Wood series, however it could be read as a standalone read as Eve Devon gives you a fantastic introduction to all of the characters before you begin the story. This really helped me as I had not read the other two books.
I found the character of Gloria really interesting and I enjoyed getting to know her. It was nice to meet all of the other residents of Whispering Wood too, I felt they all added their part to Gloria's story.
I am now going to be adding parts one and two of this series to my kindle and I'm looking forward to reading part four when it is released too.

About the Author

My name’s Eve Devon and I write sexy heroes, sassy heroines and happy ever afters…
Growing up in locations like Botswana and Venezuela gave me a taste for adventure and my love for romances began when my mother shoved one into my hands in a desperate attempt to keep me quiet during TV coverage of the Wimbledon tennis finals.
When I wasn’t consuming books by the bucket-load, I could be found pretending to be a damsel in distress or running around solving mysteries and writing down my adventures. As a teenager, I wrote countless episodes of TV detective dramas so the hero and heroine would end up together every week. As an adult, I worked in a library to conveniently continue consuming books by the bucket-load, until realising I was destined to write contemporary romance and romantic suspense myself. I live in leafy Surrey in the UK, a book-devouring, slightly melodramatic, romance-writing sassy heroine with my very own sexy hero husband!
